The following is a news report from “The Hindu”
Pop star Pink believes that her baby daughter is friends
with ghosts! The “So What” singer is convinced that all children can see
supernatural entities, but her 13 month old daughter has actually made a playmate
of one. “She sees spirits all the time”, says Pink. “I believe all kids can see
spirits and Willow has been trying to hand her cookie to something that she
laughs at right in front of her face for the last six months!”
This report is conclusive evidence to my theory that each
subsequent generation of people are getting stupider. After I read this report,
I was absolutely dumbfounded. Of course,
kids are always laughing and waving to nobody in particular. But that doesn’t
mean they see spirits!
I fondly call this theory "The Bimbo Revolution", co-authored by me and an old friend of mine. And believe me, the bimbo revolution is near, very near.
With “celebrities” like “Pink” (I must confess I have never
heard of her before. And I wish I never had) endorsing such stupid ideas and
beliefs, more and more gullible people follow them, leading us into a world of
idiocy and bimbo-ism.
Logical thinking, rational thoughts and common sense are
hard to find these days. We all have the “American Way” to thank for it, I
guess. I have come to believe that each subsequent generation of people is less
intellectual through careful observation.
I was born in 1992 and heck, I can barely stand people two
years younger to me. They all know how to operate a phone or an iPad, but they
can’t use their brain cells for even a tiny bit of logic.
There might be several reasons for this decreasing
intellect. But for me, the primary reason is the decrease in the number of
people reading books (be it text books, novels, biographies, etc.). The drop in
the number of people reading books has, in turn has been caused by the spread
of TV to each and every home.
And it is a disgrace that this “star” has chosen to name
herself “Pink”, marring the name of my favourite band “Pink Floyd”. I hope a
heavy book falls on her head and she dies.
