A few days ago, I met the One. You know , the One who could've (should) been my life partner. But astonishingly, she didn't seem to think she was.
Okay, I see your point, dear reader. You don't understand, let me explain. Let me back up a little bit.
I was introduced to a girl recently. A normal girl. By that l, I mean decently attractive, looked like she had a functional brain. I must confess, when I set eyes upon her, I did not think she was the One.
Hello, I am Amrit, I said and stretched out my hand. She told me her name and reached to shake my hand. Something amazing happened.
At the moment our fingers touched, we both received a shock. Buzz! Then, I realised, we were partners in the past life. We were meant to be partners in this life too. Haven't we all seen films, I mean when that happens, it's a sign from God, obviously.
So I immediately got down to my knees and popped the question. I realise I am a 22 year old who is barely settled yet, but hey, if I was supposed to get married, what else could I do?
Amazingly, she looked at me like I was a fucking idiot and walked away looking disgusted.
Ah, the dance has begun, dear reader. It is all but a part of the game. I know we are meant to be.
(I hope that the sane readers have realised the satirical tone of this post. And of course, the "shock" was due to static electricity, not some divine sign from the Creator.)
