The Incredibly Short APS RTC local buses

From the outside they seem like giants. But from the inside they are so short, even Mulch Diggums (the dwarf) would feel so. Alright i'll tell you what my problem is. the other day, i was traveling in a city bus. A speedbreaker approaches and WHAM! My head hits the roof of the bus. The other mortals are all okay. But not me. What about us, the "6 feet +" people, who also travel in the buses?? As a citizen of India, i demand special seats be reserved for the likes of us or roofless buses be plied.

What can you do with 80 mn pounds a.k.a 616 crore rupees??

* As many as 1.31 million Apple iPhones. * You can buy 93 Bugatti Veyron cars, each costing 850,000 pounds ($1.4 million). * It can fly a person to the International Space Station three times, with spare change of more than 15 million pounds. * You can buy a Big Mac for the entire population of Canada. * It can buy around 138,000 ounces of gold. * It could buy you 80 per cent of the 100 million pounds being sought for the purchase of English Championship (second division) club Newcastle United. * It will make Paris Hilton your new girlfriend... *Based on my calculations with 80m pounds, you could buy close to 123,000 bottles of that champagne which would probably last Ronaldo a year or two based on his consumption. *You could Buy 3/4 of Bill Gates Mansion in Washington. *You could buy a Private Jet with spare cash in hand! But poor old Real Madrid, with Florentino Perez back at the helm, could only think of wasting it on Cristiano Ronaldo. Sheesh!! What a waste...

Atheism

I have been thinking to blog on this topic for a very long time but had retracted cuz it would seem like im following the footsteps of a certain someone. But as always temptation prevails and here i am blogging away on what i thought i must not. Right, before i go further let me tell you this is just about atheism and not a debate to decide whether "there is a god or not" (i would be buying less enemies this way). So all the people who believe you are up for an interesting and controversial take on religion, sorry to say that i have disappointed you. I dont know from when people have been under the (forced?) impression that there exists a divine force... But i know that i, from a very young age have never been too drawn towards god, which was helped by the fact that both my parents are atheists. The religious ceremonies, which are seldom short and difficult to understand why they are being performed, always exhausted me. You might ask how i attended them when my parents are a...

IPL - Indian PAISA League

Just a few days ago, i had read a newspaper article which felt that the "gentleman's" game has now become a businessman's. I was struck by the reality of the article. A six is no longer a six, but a DLF Maximum. If there has been a good over for the batsman or a crucial wicket has fallen, it isnt the excellence of the player, but a Citi moment of success... What surprises me most is, how readily the commentators (read as salesmen) have accepted this role. Familiar names like Ravi Sashtri, Harsha Bhogle, and Ranjit Fernando (whose only capability seems to be glorifying his fellow countrymen, the Sri Lankans. He explains "as long as dilshan/ sangakarra/ jayawardena/ murali are playing well, the tean need not fear"), have turned into nonsense boxes who go shrill over the least thrill and find it difficult to find fitting adjectives when more thrilling events occur. They go hoarse shouting the names of the sponsors. Also during dull moments they proclaim 'i ...

MALE RIGHTS!!!!

No, no i havent mis-spelt female rights as male rights. Yes i think it is time we start to think about male rights. We all know how women use thier gender as an unfair advantage over men. Yeah yeah i know all that "females get payed less than males for the same amount of job" and "it is always the wife who does the domestic work" things. But lying under the thick layer called 'feminsm' lies masculinism(i havent coined that word). I will tell you why i think male rights are important.    1. Males have longer period of imprisonment than females for the same crime done.    2.  In this very own country of ours, men pay more income tax than women. Now exactly how unfair        is that?    3. This may seem wierd but it is true. Men are not believed when they claim they have been raped         by they wife, etc. Even if it has been proved there is only minimal or no penalty.    4. Most of us have been in situations where a woman claims she is tired of being treated...

College life SUCKS!!!

I remember the days in school when I dreamt about college life thinking it to be like how they show in the movies. But when reality came crashing on me, I was heart broken and crestfallen. In my imagination bunking when I wanted to, scores of beautiful girls and lecturers who were intersting made up what Tollywood calls a "college", the reality is studying in jail-like conditions and lecturers who mug up lessons(including math) and teach make up the ugly face of the "real college". Well thats one big boooooo for Tollwood from me. Mind you thats not for those stupid films.
