JUST 1411 LEFT!

I know you are thinking i have jumped into the pit after the match has ended. But let me assure you, i am not blogging away to convince you to update your status message to "Save our national animal" or force you to let out a tweet for this noble cause. I am just wondering what a few people/ things who others have ignored might feel upon this issue. A poacher might think "What the hell am i gonna if all these striped cats vanish?Looks like i have to stop poaching after all!Well, atleast for a while. Better call a meeting of our poaching brethren and advise them to shift to another animal. How about the bears? Or maybe the evergreen deers? Lets see what they have got to say." Authors note: Looks like the campaign is really gonna help after all! King of the jungle (Hint: its not a gorilla) - "These humans must be crazy! While there is such a royal animal like me around(who is also facing complete extinction btw), they wanna save an animal who is nightblind and wo...

February - A Month of Extremes

For me, February has always been a month ridden with a high adrenaline rush (well atleast since 2008). It's either a very good thing that happens or the opposite. Back in 2008, there were two unspeakable incidents that took place. One was very exciting. The other... well not so much. But as these two incidents were the cornerstones for the Feb fad, I respect them very much. Then there was this shitty party called the "Farewell party". It seemed like the school was happy to get rid of us. Hence, the party was bad, but we did enjoy it (for those of you thinking it must be because of the programmes, I assure you, it wasnt). 2009 was fairly quieter. It had only one incident, which was thankfully, one of the best in my life. Yep, I am talkin about the Iron Maiden concert, which was incidentally, my Maiden concert (more about this day will follow on Feb 15th). Maybe there were a few minor incidents which I do not remember. This year, with just 10 days behind me, a lotta ...

I need a tablet!

The day every netizen is looking forward to is 27 Jan 2010. With a gazillian bajellian photos and forums dedicated to it, Apple seems to be unveiling a new product. But that son-of-bitch Steve Jobs doesn't want to reveal what it is anytime before the mentioned date. But the rumour mills have been doing their rounds, speculating the possibilities of an Apple Tablet PC (iSlate or iPad) and a new generation of iPhone OS which would once again revolutionalize the touch screen market. Come Jan 27 and once again, in Apple's empire, San Fransisco, Steve Jobs will hold up his new born like Jesus being shown to the shepherds. And if he comes up with something even a nanometer below the expectations, someone will definetely murder him. I would advise all the people attending the release to carry along a few tomatoes and eggs, just in case. If the git has the nerves to unveil a silly product such as a new iPod or Mac, smash all of them on his shiny, bald head. COME ON BUDDY!! Tell us WTF...

Practical Bullshit

I wonder which jobless fool, an old dying man or a meddlesome lecturer, got the idea of introducing practical physics and chemistry into the AP State Board Intermediate syllabus. Practicals are of no use in the way it's taught for us. It's of no use in the world of IIT and AIEEE and the endless list of competitive exams. It's considered to be a waste of time by the lecturers. An hour of brain bombardment sacrificed to an unworthy cause drawing magnetic lines on a chart or mixing chemicals (which half the time do not show the expected result. The lecturer salvages himself by uttering the unquestionable words - "The chemicals are too dilute"). For the students though, it's probably the very few times that can be enjoyed during college. Break a few test tubes or lift a magnet or two. While acids are supposed to be handled with extreme care, they are treated like a childs playthings, drawn from buckets through mugs (Acids should be carefully drawn, using suction t...

Indi-Bond??

Hmm... 3 Idiots has inspired a lot of people it seems.. All the guys an gals I meet are talking about following your interests and not be crushed under your parents' thumb. Ofc, I do understand that this has nothing to do with what I am gonna blog, but felt the movie deserved a mention in my world famous blog. Aamir Khan, I want a share in your profits. See how well I am advertising your film?? I was reading about the CIA today. Took a sudden interest in espionage. Imagine an Indian secret agent working for Research & Analysis Wing (R&AW, the Indian equivalent to CIA, MI6). He would probably be a Bond sans the cars, gadgets, girls and Moneypenny. Now how boring is that?? But anyway, I would say it is a lot better than sitting in a classroom studying something you don't prefer. After briefly flirting with the possibility of studying in dreamland, my next crush seems to be a secret agent career. Let's see how long this relationship can last. Hoping this one will work ...

New Year Blues

Its December end already and the plans for new year's night are hot on heels. Where should we party? Where is the best place to party? Is someones house available for partying? Ask Akash and he will tell you everything you want to know about it. For the very first time in my life, I am gonna party with my friends and not at my home. Lets just say 2009 - good riddance and happily wait for the better half of 2010 to come by ASAP (if you already havent guessed why, then its cuz i will be done with these two idiotic years of torture that people call as intermediate). If you have any suggestions to make about party locations and stuff, please do comment (alright, i confess i am talkin to myself as nobody reads my pathetic blog except occasionally a fat guy who is already obsessed with New Year's night).

Something Different

In this blog i will be posting poems (which are not mine, but taken from elsewhere). I will post two poems. Both of them are pretty good in their own right. The first is called "The Whiner's Plaint". It has been taken out from the InterNET (this is not internet but Intermediate New English Text Book, the most idiotic name u can assign to a text book). THE WHINER"S PLAINT Going by my passport They call me Indian abroad But in my own land I don't know who I am. In South Africa I am coloured In U.S.A I am minus Red To the English I am a WOG I still don't know who I am. Beyond the Vindhyas I'm a southie Or more often a Madrasi In Madras I am a Malayalee Does anyone know who I am? To the Muslims I am a Hindu To the Hindus I am a Brahmin Or some other caste name Do tell me who I am. If I am to be known by language Sometimes even by my race Who can say who I am? I wish they'd call me Indian And be done with it, Not bother with anything else So that for good ...
