UOH Lessons

As you are no doubt aware, dear non-existent reader, I have been studying a master's program in the University of Hyderabad for the past couple odd months. Here are some of the lessons that I have learnt during this time, 1) Unlike in the old days, when smoking was either considered 'cool' or made you 'rugged', you are now 'intellectual' if you smoke. Apparently, the demographic for smokers these days is the so-called 'progressive' people - left leaning liberals. Albert Camus and Christopher Hitchens, I'm holding you responsible. 2) If you are a girl who smokes, you are not only progressive, but also liberated. 3) As usual, the expectations for a girl are much higher. It's not enough for a girl to simply smoke for her to be considered as a progressive - she has to go into the men's hostel as well. P.S: All the points above are made sarcastically, poking fun at the non-right wing students. It is always assumed that right wing
